General Conditions

  • Australian Pairs - Four bowls per player 2x2x2x2
  • 48 Teams - Eight Sections of six teams.
  • If the kitty is delivered incorrectly, the opposing skip can place the kitty and determine the placement of the mat.
  • Killed ends are replayed, however, if kitty goes out of play after the bell, it is to be placed on the 2 metre mark.
  • Some previously played on rinks may occur when changing from Section to Post Section play.
  • In the event of bad weather or other delays the Tournament Committee has the option to alter the format of the tournament.

Section Play Conditions

  • Section play is 13 completed ends with a 2 hour time limit.
  • Post Section places are determined by placing within qualifying sections based on wins, draws, differential and ends
  • Draws are NOT converted to Wins. If two teams have the same number of wins then the team with more draws is placed above the team with less draws.


Post Section and Final Play Conditions

From each section

  • the top 2 qualifiers move to Division 1
  • the 3rd and 4th qualifiers move to Division 2
  • the 5th and 6th qualifiers move to Division 3


Post Section Round Robin

  • Each Division has four sections with 4 teams in each section
  • Three games are played
  • Winners from each section go through to Semi Final

  • Division 1 - 15 ends 2 hrs 20 mins
  • Division 2 - 13 ends 2 hrs
  • Division 3 - 13 ends 2 hrs

Semi Final

  • Division 1 - 15 ends 2 hrs 20 mins
  • Division 2 - 13 ends 2 hrs
  • Division 3 - 13 ends 2 hrs

Final

  • Division 1 - 15 completed ends No time limit
  • Division 2 - 13 ends 2 hrs
  • Division 3 - 13 ends 2 hrs
