Another successfully run tournament is over. The winners have been found and Gavin Lea with his team
have collected the first prize cheque. He has been slowly moving up the field with three second placings
until he found the winning formulae this year. Mort did an mazing job organising the field and a special
thanks goes to Mort for arranging the Burnside Bomber team. Even though they finished 22 out of 22 they
had three memorable victories over the weekend. The atmosphere was friendly but at the same time
competitive. Everyone voiced their satisfaction with a well run tournament.

Saint Patrick's day is "dis Tursday" March 17 (as if you didn't know!)
And Muzz has managed to get some "Irish Gold" (Guiness) on tap for d' occasion.
We'll be havin' about 60 Master Builders playing Bowls and generally havin' a good
time at the Club on dat day as well.
If you 'tink' you might like a drop of Irish Gold wit' your mates then they'd be no better
place than your club to be sure, to be sure!!
And if you'd be in to wearin' the green on St Paddys day we might 'foind' a prize or
two.... if your out-fit tickles our fancy!
For sure you'd be know'n', we are referrin' to our ladies too, as well as those filthy
firken men bowlers!

Big winners on Melbourne Cup day @ Burnside were Ken and Rhonda Reid.
Ken held the bag from which the numbers were drawn (by Gordon) and
grizzled when he got horses 18,19 and 20 claiming the draw was 'rigged'.
He's not moaning now!!....and Rhonda sneaked a placing with her horse.
