New Zealand - Dwayne Cameron

Dwayne Cameron qualified as New Zealand men's singles champion at the Dorchester - Holden National Open Championships in Auckland in January 2005.

There he defeated red-hot favourite and New Zealand representative Rowan Brassey 21-20 in a pulsating, come-from-behind victory.

Down 9-19 in the race to 21 shots, Cameron looked out of contention but refused to give up and clawed his way back into the match before completing a remarkable turnaround in one of the most dramatic comebacks in New Zealand sports history.

The Counties-Manukau based Cameron is no stranger to international play having represented New Zealand at under 25 and under 30 level in the past, but makes his return to the international scene after an absence of 3 years.
