The annual Art@Burnside art exhibition and sales, opens on Friday at 6:30 pm. The 471 artworks will
be on display and available for purchase on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:30pm. $2 entry.

This week around 85 students from the College of Education English Language course used our

The SBS Stewart Buttar Invitation Pairs is taking place at
Burnside Bowling Club starting on Friday 22nd January.
The field is the best ever from New Zealand and
Australia. Follow your favourite team with up to the
minute results and photos of the action. Finals start at
1:40pm on Sunday.

Our Junior Fours team
of Lyn Haworth,
Vincent Chai, Grant
Ellis and Ken Reid had
a very successful
season last year and
won the Canterbury
Inter Club Junior Fours
Trophy.
The competition has
been running since the
1978 season and
Burnside has won it five
times with a repeat in
the 84-85 and 85-86
seasons.
The team are together
again this year and
hope to achieve a
second repeat for the
club. We wish them well.

On Thursday 2nd of December Burnside Bowling Club
President Neil Cornelius gratefully accepted from the President
of the Rotary Club of Avonhead, an item which will prove to
be a true asset to the Burnside Club and in particular the
North West Community in general. This asset is of course the
Public Access Defibrillator.

Volunteer of the Year award. This recognises the dedication and superb effort that Graham has put in
over his many years at Burnside.

the top menu or Enter Club Comps on the left menu. Enter your name and optionally your email
address in the box for the selected competition. Then press the Send button to complete your entry.

|
In the club lounge there is a computer connected, via broadband, to the internet. It may be used by
members any time that the lounge is open. Step by step instructions on how to log on and switch off the
computer is displayed next to the screen.
