World Bowls 2008 Nominated for SPARC Award
|
The World Bowls 2008 event has been nominated for an Event Excellence Award handed out by SPARC to an organisation which has displayed best practice in the delivery of an event.

Jo Finishes with a win
|
Jo Edwards has won the World Cup final held at Warilla. The final score was 7-2 3-9 2-1. Genevieve Baildon won the Women's Junior World Cup. Jamie Hill was knocked out in the quarter finals while Shannon McIlroy finished second in the Junior Mens competition.

Jo Edwards wins NZ Open Singles
|
|
Jo defeated Lisa Prideaux from New South Wales by 8-2 and 8-3 in the final game.

Jo Edwards Canterbury Sportsperson of the Year
|
Jo was the winner of the Canterbury Sportsperson of the Year award at the Sir Richard Hadlee Awards evening held last Friday. Gary Lawson was the other Sportsperson of the Year and he also won the overall Sports Personality award.
