BOWLS PLANET UNDER 26 SINGLES TOURNAMENT
Venue: Burnside Bowling Club
Date: Friday 5 October – Sunday 7 October 2012
While the field for this prestigious invitational mixed tournament is full, come
along and watch some of the brightest young bowlers from all over New
Zealand battle it out on the greens. Burnside Bowling Club will be represented
by some of its youth bowlers - James Haseman, James Collier and Tayla
Bruce.
UNDER 20 KITTYHAWKS (SINGLES)
The Under 20 Kittyhawks local qualifying event on Sunday 14 October 2012 is
open to full playing members of any affiliated club to Bowls Canterbury.
Entrants must be aged 19 years or under as at Good Friday 5 April 2013.
Four males and two females will qualify for the February 2013 regional
qualifying event in Nelson. The national event takes place in Auckland over
Easter 2013.
Local qualifying event: Sunday 14 October 2012 (Sunday 28 October, if
required). Entry fee is $25.00. Contact Jimmy Sinclair at Bowls Canterbury for
an entry form – or see page 197 of the 2012-2013 Bowls Canterbury
Handbook.
Regional qualifying event: Saturday 2 February – Monday 4 February 2013
(Nelson).

Qualifiers for the 2013 event will be determined next year – players
representing their secondary school must first succeed at local level then at
regional level to qualify for the Nationals.
Local event: Sunday 24 February 2013
Regional event: Sunday 25 – Monday 26 March 2013 (Greymouth)
