Stewart Buttar and Bruce McNish are legends at the Burnside Bowling Club

Following years of brilliant play at Club Championship and National Championship Level.

Stewart was capped No 80 for New Zealand in 1993

Bruce was capped No 81 for New Zealand in 1994

In the 1994 Commonwealth Games held in Victoria Canada ..

Stewart and Bruce played together winning the Bronze Medal in the Mens Championship Fours.

Prior to the Commonwealth Games Stewart won the Silver Medal in the Championship Triples at the 1993 Asia Pacific Championships also held in Victoria.

In addition in the 1993/1994 season Stewart represented New Zealand in the Trans Tasman series along with test series v Fiji.

In 1997 Stewart was once again selected for New Zealand v South Africa this time held

in South Africa.

Bruce McNish was also selected for New Zealand in the series v Fiji in 1994 plus a 6 nation competition held in Kuala Lumpa Malaysia in 1998.
